    Semuliki visitation fees vary depending on the activities to be done within Semuliki National Park. The Park is situated in Bwamba sub-county in Bundibugyo district, Western Uganda, on the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

    Semuliki National Park is called “the birder’s haven” because of its vast forest coverage and vegetation that provides a suitable habitat for a variety of bird and wildlife species.

    Similar to other national parks visitors to Semuliki also pay visitation fees for both park entrance and activities. Foreign non-residents pay US $35, and foreign residents pays US $25 while East African citizens pays UGX 15,000 only. Bear in mind that this is just entrance fee which is paid at the gate before entering the park. This payment is only valid for 24 hours, so beyond that you will have to pay the same fee for each day to allow you access the park.

    Semuliki offers several tourist activities to visitors, but each activity has its own Semuliki visitation fees. For nature walking safaris foreign non-residents pay US $30, foreign residents pay US $25 while East African citizens pay UGX 15,000 only.

    For Batwa cultural experience both foreign residents and non-residents pay US $10 while East African residents pay UGX 10,000 only. Shoebill hunting by boat requires foreign non-residents to pay US $100, foreign residents to pay US $80 while East African citizens pay UGX 100,000 only.

    All these payments are paid to Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) through your agreed tour operator.
